Ok,

So with Sprint you have the connection manager on a laptop...tells you if you are running EVDO, RTT, etc....

Well with the router plugged into a desktop you don't run that software...so how do I know what I am running? if I am not running EVDO how do I change it?

I am having Ping issues 300-400 in games and connection stability issues (disconnects daily) that I want to correct.

12hr disconnects are a "feature" with Alltel, most users get them.
To test your card, you need to plug it into a WinXP computer and get the software installed.

You could get a pcmcia desktop card adapter for your Vista computer. Does the sprint software support vista yet?
