Is it just me or is everybody else's Verizon Data seem like its alot higher than it used to be?

Since the Alltel merger with Verizon I now have Rev A. Could that be why the usage seems so much higher? I dont download alot of video's so I dont understand why I am going over 5gb every month now.

Well my understanding is the merger with Alltel won't be technically official till the end of the year. But I've also read that Alltel went Rev A recently but it wouldn't affect your download speeds all that much. But there are a few posts to the effect that some recent Verizon upgrades have increased their Rev A throughput qute a bit. I can't say since I'm only using a Rev 0 phone on The Network myself. Hope it's true though.

As for going over 5 Gig a month, depending on what you actually do, it's certainly possible to exceed it, and I bet far more people do than the carriers claim. 5 Gig is just a number some Verizon corporate zuit pulled out of the air one day as being "excessive" usage probably because it sounded like such a BIG number to his business mindset. Unfortunately, that number got canonized as the Sacred Wireless Limit" that all providers have since sworn to uphold and defend as the Ultimate Limit with a diligence and rigor that Einstein himself would have objected to.
