Can someone tell me if the Novatel X720 (Express Card/34) can be used with the KR1 or KR2 using an adapter?

If not, does anyone know of a router that will support it?

Thanks!!

The Novatel EX720 ExpressCard is supported in KR2. KR2 has an ExpressCard slot so no adapter is required. KR1 is end-of-life and does not support this device.

The CradlePoint MBR1000 & CTR500 also have ExpressCard slots and support the EX720, here is a link to more info:

Exactly how long was the life of the KR1? Mine is yet two years old. Thank goodness most devices with a price tag over $200 have a longer life.

With a few lines of code it would support most devices.

Well, KR1 launched January 30, 2006. KR2 launched March 17, 2008. So it was about two years. Life's fast in the world of consumer electronics.

I have been using the KR1/EX720 with Sprint for the past year with an adapter bought from 3gstore and using firmware RK1008.
Speed is limited to about 60kbytes/second.
I think firmware RK1010 and RK1011 broke the EX720 support (from comments in the forum).
