The owner of our company has a toughbook with built in EDVO. Before he went to Verizon and activated it he was able to visit any of our 3 locations and get on our wireless internet (just a basic ATT DSL account with static IP's and an open wireless network) with out any problems at all. But after he got the Verizon Wireless activated he has random problems accessing any WiFi networks. And of course every time he brings me his laptop to correct the problems I can't get them to happen. He says the laptop will show him making the initial connection to the network, but then it shows limited or no connectivity, even though there are others with laptops right beside him with no connection problems at all. He says he has made sure that the Verizon software (it's supposedly only set up to manage the EDVO connection)is not running when he is trying to connect, but he does keep getting messages popping up asking if he would like to connect using verizon wireless. I can't seem to replicate any of these problems... so Is anyone aware of any issues like this?

We have hundreds of these wireless notebooks running and the fix should be to uninstall the Verizon Wireless Manager and reinstall it without the Verizon WiFi option. Spint took WiFi out of the Connection Manager and has boosted it's business accounts with less to manage and confuse the user with. -Rod

Note: Don't have any options set to auto run or load in the tray etc. this will help keep things clean and quiet for the user.
