| Yea i heard over in Arkansas they have the REV A, earlier today just for about 10 seconds I locked on to REV A, (-97) I have no idea where it came from though. Maybe over in Arkansas but im a good 30 miles from the border. I guess it was just a signal bounce.. oh well only wish they would move it to Oklahoma. |

| Here in central-eastern Louisiana, I've seen Rev-A flicker on and off several times over the last few days but it never stays for very long. We had an outage yesterday where it would bounce from 1xRTT to Rev-A and the signal strength was all over the place. It eventually settled back to Rev 0 where it is now. So, I don't know if they were working on things or just torturing me with the idea we might be getting Rev-A in the near future. There's no Sprint or Verizon towers anywhere near here, so it couldn't have been pulling from any of them. |

| I have a tower that is about 6.5 miles away as the crow flies and I emailed alltel questioning if it was scheduled for EVDO rev a any time soon and also the mhz licensed for the tower so that I could order the correct yagi antenna. I was suprised when they responded with the answers. The tower is not scheduled for upgrade this year and the mhz was 850 B band. Just FYI for anyone else using this tower it is on Puckett Rd, in Stovall, NC. |

Only if you consider a ~2 hour drive close. I live about 50 miles from the Mississippi border. |

|
|
My 5750 card is about 1 year old. In the "About" area of the control panel of QuickLink I see PX500, which is normal, and rev -01. At the bottom of the dropdown I see "Capabilities 1xEVDO (Rev A)" .etc. The PRL is 40036.
I would guess that it is Rev A ready but if not, how do I update the firmware? Where do I go to get the information?
I have forgotten the Password when I do a ctl D for the inside scoop on the QuickLink Gui. Anyone remember it? config?????
Thanks,
Tom |

The password is diagsmsi. If you are connected you will only be able to select field test. If you are not connected you'll have access to other settings.
The PC5750 does need a firmware update to make it truly Rev. A ready. Watch for it to become available on http://software.alltel.com/ -- supposedly it's going to be released sometime this week. |

| I was at a Quality Inn just off I-75 in Kentucky south of Cincinnati Ohio and my software indicated RevA. I am using a KPC680 express card with updated Alltel software. Allthough my upload was over 200k, my download was only around 1100k. In Jackson Michigan I am in Rev0 area. I download over 1500k with upload of around 130k. |

Very cool, Bigdave! When I was in Greenville last April my best speed test was 1347 down and 102 up. And in case you haven't noticed -- you can now add Alltel speed test info on evdomaps.com.
Hope all is well with you! -- karlyn |

| Have seen rA on several occasions here in NW Wisconsin, about 30 miles East of Eau Claire. Subjectively, speed increase is dramatic, especially since I'm about 8 miles from the nearest tower. Sorry, was too busy enjoying the speed to remember to run a speed test. Maybe when it comes on again. |
