| What is your latency? Probably need to know this before something can be determined on how to lower it (if at all possible to do so). Also how is your XBox connected? Hard wire or wireless? |

| my latency is about 280 when tested on speedtest.net and my xbox is connected through ICS(internet connection sharing). I am going to return my alltel card tomorrow though because i talk to a data specialists and he said that to play a xbox i need more upload speed. The most amount of upload speed i or anyone can possibly get with an alltel card right now is 120 kbps. To play COD4 on xbox live you need atleast 300. Alltel will get that much if not more when it merges with verizon in December is what the data rep told me. But until then i cant play xbox live with my alltel card. So then i called At&t cuz i saw where there average upload is 500kbps. They said that they have the fastest data connect out of all companies because of this 3g expansion so tomorrow i am getting a AT&T card. I still think i might need a lower latency, but i will let you know tomorrow if it works. |
