Just received my new KR2 (from the 3G Store - great service!). The "Please read first" card inside the package says users of the PC5750 PC card should power off the KR2, insert the card, and power up.
Quote:
This "cold boots" the KR2 so the card will be fully initialized and it will then function normally.

Does this procedure change the card in any way?

Bill

Nope, there are no changes made to the card in any way. There is however an issue if the card is not inserted in this order, it can cause the router to get a little confused and simply won't allow for the card to connect.

If your intended purpose is to use this router with that card, it would be a good idea to follow the advice of our technical team here at 3GStore.com

They will save you allot of headaches and aggravation;-)

Is there something specific you could point me to?

That issue was fixed in later firmware. ZE1002 and ZE1003 will solve that issue.
