Hey is alltel's wireless internet unlimited? I searched around these forums and saw that verizon will cap it at 5gb. I just bought a KPC680 ExpressCard with the National Wireless Internet and found out yesterday about possible caps.
Is it still unlimited right now? I searched around here and the alltel TOS but found no definite answers and I have 13 days left to return the card. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! |

I've been using about 30GB/mo since December 2006 and Alltel hasn't bugged me yet. I'm sure that will all change once Verizon gets control of the reigns, though. |

Its really not confirmed that Verizon will put a cap in let alone if Verizon can successfully buy Alltel.
I recently called Alltel and asked about the technical details and if you are in a Alltel contract they can't push the limit off of you. If down the road you resign with a Verizon contract it would be limited if they decided to limit it. |

| thanks for the quick replies! I noticed when sprint capped their bandwidth it also applied to current contracts (but you have 60 days to opt out). Hopefully verizon/alltel won't pull the same move. |

| I've been pushing around 12 to 15 gigs per month, no complaints, who knows what will happen under Verizon, but to say they can't cap you under contract seems a little unrealistic considering sprint just did it, they can change the TOC anytime they want, they just have to give you the option to back out since it's not what you signed originally. |

Yes Sprint just capped me and I cancelled. Prior to that I was burnt by verizon who just shut me down, so I don't quite know where to turn now.
What happened to free enterprise. Seems like all the wireless offerings are the same at the same price. Why is there no free market competion. |
