First, thanks to all for extremely helpful information through out the site.
Here is the situation. I need to monitor about 24 sites that are in the middle of the sticks and very disburse. Most of these are unable to get any sort of "broad band line" the main thing I need to do on these sites is, every once in a while (and I mean very rarely) log into an APC and reboot some equipment.
Thats it.. no need to poll information etc. So reaching any 5Gb limit is not even an issue.
I was looking at putting a combo solution using a cradle point/ wireless card in every site and don't really mind the capital cost per site.. its the $59-$79 bucks every month per site that probably won't even used for months on end.
Soooo to the question. Anyone know of a way to "pool" if you will, usage on multiple accounts? Or does anyone know of another solution I might be over looking?
thank you very much in advance.

You are going to have 24 separate mobile broadband accounts with routers, want to monitor data usage remotely, and reboot the gear ...is that correct? _________________ evdo-tips.com |

Well.. that is the thought process at this time.
I don't really need to monitor data usage. Mainly just need to log in remotely and reboot the gear.

Do you really need two way communications or do you only want to guarantee a reboot?
If you only need one-way comms there are probably cheaper ways to do it.

Good question n6gn,
Off the top of my head I would say yes.. duplex communications is needed.
You hit the nail on the head.. need to confirm reboot.

You would probably be better off with a smartphone/pdaphone at each site for $ 9.99 a line with a higher initial cost, than a data account for each site. It shouldn't be hard to program a reboot and verify routine for anything with a windows based operating system.
Just my 2 cents worth.
