I had a Sierra AirCard 595 (PCI) on the Verizon network for about a year and it worked great. I was using it with a d-link DIR-450. I decided to upgrade to the Cradle Point MBR1000 to get a better WIFI coverage area...

Well, as you know the MBR1000 doesn't take the PCI card so had to get a USB or Express card. So I got all they had in stock... the USB727. I'm not happy with it. The PCI AirCard 595 seem to be much faster... maybe two or three times faster in the same areas and conditions.

So my question is, which express card or usb modem currently available from verizon is the fastest?

I'm having a tough time finding reviews or a comparison chart, if you could point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it.

Thanks!

Ben

Ben,

the USB727 has been a solid performer and is not known to be slower than anything else we've sold. its possible you simply got a bad unit, or have some other issue with that specific usb727
