Hello guys. Did the Kyocera folks disable the reboot fuction of the reset button in firmware 1.002 and 1.003 for the KR2?

I noticed that after the firmware update to either one of the latest firmware. The reset button does not reboot again, it can only restore back to factory settings after pressing it for 10 secs.

This is not good sometimes it is just easier to reboot with the reset button than just rebooting via the web gui.

I hope this will be fixed in the next firmware and if not pls tell us the reason why.

thank u!

The functionality of the manual reset switch on the back of KR2 has not changed since KR2 was released. I think you're confused with the purpose and functionality of the reset button.

The reset switch has never been intended as a quick way to reboot the router. It is specifically for restoring factory defaults after pressing it for ten seconds. To simply reboot the router, you can use the button in the GUI or unplug and replug the power adapter. Either of those methods will reboot the router just fine. KR2 boots up in under ten seconds which is much better than KR1.
