can you use a Sprint U720 with a Linksys WRTG54G3G-ST

Picked up a Linksys Wrtg54g3g-st and want to use it with a Sprit U720. The u720 is a usb modem. The router is PCMIA. I happen to have a pcmia to usb adapter for it. The U720 lights up with an additional 5VDC transformer plugged into the adapter plug. The setup wizard goes through all it's routines but i cannot connect to the internet is this connection possible since I have all the apparent hardware at this point. I use both macs and pc's on the road so i need a usb card Thanks for any replies

Get rid of that Linksys, for many reasons:
