Error AQ920 when trying to connect?

Friend got Verizone USB modem think is Pantech not 100% sure when worked for 2 weeks NP.After 2 weeks now he get Error QA920 called he called Tech support no luck and one know what QA920 Error is?

Error QA 920, ras error 691, is a generic username and password error. it can be due to several different non connecting issues like provisioning, computer, network connections, or service impacting issues.

Open up your VZAccess Manager, press ctrl, T, on your keyboard.

a command prompt should come up

type AT$QCMIPEP=1, AT$QCMIP=1, it should say ok after each command

press Alt, F4 to close the terminal

try connecting, if not working, call tech support
