Hello! This may be a stupid question but I'm new to this so please bear with me. I am giving strong consideration to switching to Alltel internet from my current satellite internet.

I already have a router (Linksys WRT300N), how can I determine if I will need a different router for Alltel internet? Would there be some sort of adapter or attachment I could purchase for the router so that I would be able to use it?

Sorry for asking something so elementary but I've found myself becoming increasingly frustrated with the lack of information from Alltel so far. Thanks!

Your existing router only accepts cable/dsl/satellite as an input using an ethernet cable.

What you really need is a "cellular router" designed to *support* an Alltel EVDO device.

The best combination right now is the Alltel UM150 USB modem and any of the Cradlepoint routers:
