You might be like me and tried the retard TCP tweaks to make your internet faster.

ALL these tweaks are HOOPLA! They do NOTHING. Technology has advanced and it's all done automatically. So unless you have a stone age connection. Do NOT "Tweak" it.

These "tweaks" corrupt the hell out of your connection.

Thank god if you have SP2 on your windows operating system.. there is some saving you.

First use whatever program you used to tweak your connection settings and have it restore them to windows default. I used TCPOptimizer.

Then go to: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/811259

Download the guided help and let it fix your connection. At the end it'll ask you if you need to fix it. Do it anyway.

What was the result of me doing this? Doubled my speed. That's what.

I got sick of my slow speeds and kept tweaking and tweaking.. then it struck me.. maybe these dumb tweaks are the ones destroying my connection. Lo and behold they was. I went from 400kb/s average down to 800kb/s average down.

Even if you did not make any tweaks. Run the repair anyway! Your winsock can become corrupt simply from a few registry errors or installing of software. This will clear those problems up.

Must have one of the following OS:
Microsoft Windows Server 2003, Standard Edition (32-bit x86)
Microsoft Windows Server 2003, Enterprise Edition (32-bit x86)
Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition
Microsoft Windows XP Professional
Windows Vista Home Basic
Windows Vista Home Premium
Windows Vista Ultimate
