I hope I am putting this in the right place. I did a search on here and couldn't find any info on it.
I have a Sierra Wireless (Sprint) Air Card 597e. The signal strength for the data is great. But I am having a little problem with the built in GPS receiver. It has a hard time locking on to satellites when it's in my truck. I think it's the tinted windows. Because, if I put it close to the windshield, or use it outside, it's fine. I use it with Microsoft Streets and Trips for navigation.
Anyway my question is, what antenna/gps receiver do you recommend for the 597e air card? I would like to find an all in one solution that would boost signal strength for both data and the gps. I have seen them, but I'm not sure which one will work with my card.

Will it receive the GPS signal?? It looks like it's just for the data signal.
Thanks

I am not aware that the 597e has an external GPS port for a antenna, only the built-in one. _________________ evdo-tips.com |
