Alltel issues for the past month

for the past month I have been experiencing issues where my connection will randomly go "dormant". I have 4 bars of signal. I can play wow just fine.. but web pages won't load. Then later they will load.. and minutes later they won't load again. had no problems with it up til now. any idea?

Same issue here.. My other problem lately is my signal has been going to crap for no reason. Getting kicked from awesome -69dB EVDO down to 1x.

Something is seriously up and it's very annoying.

I checked it this morning.. its still doing the same thing.

I have 3-4 bars and -74dB. I can surf to like 2-3 pages.. and then it will just crap out for 10-15 minutes.. then it will pull 2-3 more pages.. and then crap out again. I haven't called alltel yet because I was hoping it was just tower issues and would work themselves out. I was able to play WoW last night, but couldn't pull hardly any pages. This morning I couldn't login to WoW either.

Its been doing strange things for a month or so now. However, it hasn't completely been unusable like it is now. My father in law has a um150 and lives about 10 minutes from me. I haven't heard him complain about his.. I have a PC5750.. what could be the problem?

I think this is an issue with the network and not something we're doing.

I don't know what to do other then just wait it out. It sucks, but like I said there's nothing that can really be done about it.

I've tried everything and the only thing I managed to do was double my speeds, but didn't fix the signal problems.

I know it's a pain, but I'd call Alltel and make sure you get a ticket filed with them.

There seems to be a few of us having issues lately and they won't take it seriously unless they get enough support tickets in. Even then, it's a crapshoot but better than nothing.

Called alltel.

My connection worked pretty decently last night. But still nowhere like it has been. I'm "DORMANT" right now on the quick mobile screen. I hope this blows over soon.. its really irritating to pay this much for a service and not get even close to half of what your supposed to get. One day I will be able to move and get a real internet connection.. but until then.. this has to work.

Yep, oddly it got a bit better last night for me, too but still nowhere like it was. Back down to poor connection again today.

Don't know where you all live at but in Tucson, Actually north of there in the Catalina area we have been having this for over a month!!! I thought we were on Sprints tower but found out we are on a Verizon tower!!It plain sucks!!!!!! if this is the preview of upcoming attractions...Include me out!!!! Evil or Very Mad

I just pinged google and got 106 down and 81 up!!! This is EVDO, Not 1X!!! this sucks Latency is in teh 1+ seconds for the ping. sometimes it is way slower and have had times where it will connect, Says it is connected but will not load a page... For Hours!!!!! Twisted Evil

Ahhh, I had a Ra connection last week and was on Sprint as the Verizon and Alltel was too far away!! I was mobile at the time but that was the only Tower I could see in the area! Rolling Eyes

Somewhere on this forum I read a post about Verzion having been blocked from buying out Alltel.. Anyone hear anything else this week?? I have been checking at Alltel's site and nothing on my billing to indicate they are trying to cap at 5gigs...Yet!! I wonder if they found a way to block the merger?? i know it was being contested but no new word... Rolling Eyes
