| I can't find an answer to whether or not Verizon EVDO broadband service comes with your own email address and service. If so, how is it set up through them ?. Thanks. |

| No Verizon does not provide a email client. I just signed up for a free Gmail account and synced it with Microsoft Outlook. |

| I agree, Gmail provides 3GB+ storage space for your email & provides POP3/IMAP access for any email client. They're the best email provider IMO, they even beat any pay email service I've used. |

| Verizon Broadband service provides an smtp.vzwmail.net server for your outgoing mail, but you will need an incoming mail server. |

Befuddled.
They DO offer an account for being able to send email...Yahoo, Hotmail, Gmail addresses aren't going to do you any good if you don't have a source available (bring out the air card modem) for Wifi where you happen to be at the time. Now if you are saying that you can still use these other addresses in addition to the account provided by Verizon to receive incoming email, then I understand your thinking. As has been stated Verizon doesn't provide an incoming email address anyway so you have to use one of your email addresses you have already or make you one with one of the previously mentioned domains offering email service.
I believe the OP's question implied he needed information on how he could get email to work. For example, in Outllook Express put somrthing like:
INCOMING MAIL (POP3) mail.comcast.net
OUTGOING MAIL (SMTP) smtp.vzwmail.net
Of course you need to also enter your Verizon password. |
