Hey guys, currently, one of my users has a Compaq tablet with integrated Verizon EVDO. Lately he has had an extremely tough time connecting, only succeeding on rare occasions -- he used to be able to connect all the time with no problem.

I've pretty much tried all the basic troubleshooting methods and none worked. What other things can I try? I'm open to any suggestions at this point. Thanks for the help.

If it just happened out of the blue I'd assume its a possible tower issue. Call up support in the area he lives and see if there are any known tower issues.

You could have him go out in his car with the laptop and drive closer to the tower to determine if it is the local tower for sure.

If it connects fine as he gets closer to the tower chances are the foliage may be interfering with him getting connected.

If you have to get a replacement, I would suggest getting a dedicated EVDO device vs. embedded chip .
