My apologies if this has been covered before, my searching through the forums didn't find anything that looked pertinent to my issue...
I have already contacted Verizon's tech support and submitted a ticket to their network engineering team. The issue is that, as of a few months ago or so (according to the user), she starting getting a very slow connection and connection drops out frequently when she connects via VZAccess using a V740 on her Dell XPS.
I confirmed this and tested using another V740 and a USB device (forgot the model) that was working properly on other laptops. Also tried using a manual dial up connection using the #777 number. All the same...
After speaking with their support, found that it is connecting to NationalAccess while it should be connecting to BroadbandAccess. The tech checked everything on their end and then submitted a ticket for the network engineering tem (I assume this is their tier 2 support).
Has anyone run into the issue where it will not get the correct connection? She said it used to work months ago but not anymore... |

| While disconnected, open up the VZ access Mgr. Hit cntrl D on your keyboard. This will bring up a hidden diagnostic part of VZ access mgr. Type diagvzw as the password. In settings click HDR only mode. This will force the card to connect in Rev A only. If you are in a fringe area, you will no longer be able to connect and will have to change it back to Auto. |

| I would uninstall the modem from device manager, reboot and Windows should redetect the modem and correct the problem if the drivers have become corrupted. |
